Canterbury Comes Alive!
16th November 2017
Don't miss the cast of Peter Pan switching on the Christmas lights this Thursday between 5 and 7 pm on St George's Street
Canterbury is at its best at Christmas. With narrow medieval streets clustering around the iconic Cathedral and with beautiful Christmas lights being draped across streets and businesses, it has a festive feel all of its own.
Enjoy a guided tour around Canterbury City or a tour of the Cathedral - to make it extra special, attend Evensong to hear the wonderful Canterbury Cathedral Choir!
Thanks for having a wonderfully clear speaking voice - I could hear every word you spoke!

We have returned home with fond memories of Kent and particularly Romney Marsh. We enjoyed the day spent with you and thank you for making it so interesting.

An interesting and well-informed talk.

Thank you for a very interesting and informative evening on Thursday. I have received very positive feedback from members - some knew little or nothing about Romney Marsh and found it to be quite enlightening.

Together with a number of supportive critical friends, we met as a group outside Canterbury Cathedral on a chilly sunny Sunday morning. Sue explained the route and was open to questions. Amongst the group were a couple of not ‘so sprightlys’ and the pace was set so that everyone could hear the commentary and see the points of historical interest. The tour was well researched and lasted about 2 hours, finishing with those who wished to take part in a very nice lunch and allowing us to further discuss the history of the places we had visited. Well done Sue!
